Full moons are a great time of reflection… as the moon fully reflects the light of the sun, this is the perfect time to look inward, reflecting on the paths we have chosen, assess what is working well, and what could use some adjustment. Adding to this, the knowledge that we are not only about to close another year, but a decade… I know I have definitely been in the space of reflection and assessment recently… have you?

This full moon in Gemini brings information, a lot of thinking energy, and a lot of talking or communicative energy. You may notice over the past couple of days and continuing over the next several days, you are receiving new information to process, or perhaps you’re finding a greater desire to talk, communicating what you’re reflecting on with those close to you. Gemini loves communicating and connecting with others!

With this full moon in Gemini, the sun is directly opposite in Sagittarius, which also encourages deep thought, however, this is more expansive in nature. Sagittarius encourages more ‘big picture’ thinking. So, while the information you are trying to process may be more of a detailed day to day nature, there are a lot of shifts happening which demand us to look at the overall picture, which may cause some challenging feelings. As with everything else, balance and tact are always crucial.

Choose the words you communicate wisely.

Even though you might feel like you really need to speak your mind about some things coming up for you – whether you’re working through letting go of something you’ve been holding on to that you no longer need or whether you’re in the planning stages of pursuing your dreams, always be mindful of your audience. Not everyone is going to be in the ideal space to receive the information you feel you need to share at the exact moment you decide to share it… and your audience may also be working through their own stuff…

Another major influence at this time is a triple conjunction in Capricorn between Venus, Saturn, & Pluto, all at quincunxes to this Gemini Moon, meaning, adjustment may be required in the love or financial areas of your life to restore harmony and balance. Because of the grounded and structured energy of Capricorn, you might find it easier to take a good look at the areas of relationships or finances in your life at this time to determine not only what you’d like to change, but how you’d like to change.

Capricorn’s energy is very responsible, hard-working, and committed. Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn, so their energetic signatures are very similar…all about making things happen, staying on task, being independent, and manifesting, but with a restrictive type of energy… Saturn pushes us to make commitments and move forward, according to whatever rules we need to abide by to get things done – with an independent flair.

We always need to remember how important balance is and that it’s okay to ask for help.

So, if you are someone who needs that reminder, here it is… don’t be afraid to ask for help. There is always someone who can assist. You are never alone! You can still take responsibility for how you show up in the world and ask for help. These concepts are not mutually exclusive. You have no less value if you don’t do it all yourself. Be mindful though – whatever it is Saturn is pushing you to be doing, doing, doing here, may mask what it is you need to be looking at beneath the surface. Remember, ultimately, full moons are a time of reflection. 

Pluto is all about transformation… facing our desires, eliminating what we no longer need, and moving forward from a different perspective. Venus is all about how we see love and beauty in the world, our finances, our relationships, and our values. Let’s explore this a bit further… what are the thoughts that are coming up around the areas of love or finances at this time? Are they fear-based? Are these fears based on rational thought? Mine usually aren’t… Take notice where your fears are and how those fears might be affecting your relationships.
