Neuromuscular therapy is a form of bodywork that focuses on the interrelationship between the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system, and is an effective treatment for pain.
Pain is an experience triggered by nociceptors, which are sensory neurons that detect tissue damage or the potential for tissue damage, and send a signal experienced as an unpleasant sensation to the brain in an attempt to avoid tissue damage.
Your 60, 90, or 120 minute session will target areas of the body where you are experiencing pain or discomfort and specific muscles that may refer pain to these places. We’ll focus on trigger points in the fascia (connective tissues) that may project heightened sensation either around the area or refer heightened sensation elsewhere, and work on decreasing tension held in the fascia of individual muscles, targeting specific muscles from attachment point to attachment point.
Throughout your session, we’ll communicate to ensure the level of pressure used feels effective for you, but not too much, and we’ll use different techniques to help adjust how your nervous system responds to its fear of potential tissue damage.
Some techniques used may include trigger point release, myofascial release, positional release, and other release techniques, headache and TMJD release techniques, assisted stretching, nerve glides, postural assessments with evaluation of functional impairments, lifestyle coaching around the ergonomics of your work and other daily activities.

Anti-Aging * The Neuromuscular Therapy Way
The appearance of skin and posture is a result of the patterns we create over time (including stored emotions we don’t process fully in the moment, or sometimes, ever)…
And pain is a reflection…
but, what if you finally learned how you can shift this to feel better, reduce pain, and look more youthful?
Using a combination of techniques including, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, yoga asana including face yoga, chakra and meridian work, and just all around cultivation of awareness, we can naturally soften fine lines, wrinkles, tighten baggy skin (like around the neck, under the chin, and under the eyes) to create a more youthful appearance.
Neuromuscular Therapy approach to Anti-Aging sessions are not facials, but they target the chest, throat, face, head, neck, and upper back, for reducing stress and tension in specific muscles that create fine lines and wrinkles, helping stimulate production of collagen and elastin, and I include tutorials on what to do for yourself between sessions, including some face yoga.
Your 2-hour session includes hands-on bodywork as well as tutorials so you can continue some of this work on yourself. *$250
